For the 9th time in 10 years MUH has brought home the Ohio Regional Campus state title. Miami Hamilton disposed of OSU Mansfield 6-3 on Friday behind homeruns from Bryan Apking and Derek Bischoff. Then defeated the Mavericks once again on Saturday with Zane Bayliss pitching a masterpiece on the mound for a 7-1 victory. The Harriers finish the season 31-14.

After winning two of three games Friday in the ORCC Tournament, the Harriers lost 9-1 Saturday to OU Lancaster to close out their season. MUH was led in the tournament by Rachel LeMaster’s hitting and the pitching of Megan Batt, who finished the season 6-4 on the mound.

Joe Sullivan blasted three home runs and totaled six RBIs Saturday, May 9th, as the Miami Hamilton baseball team hammered Miami Middletown 17-2 in the ORC State Tourney. Brian Fusco added a homer and two RBIs while Zane Bayliss picked up the win on the mound. The Harriers will compete next weekend for the tournament title.

MUH had a 5th place finish in the ORC State Tournament over the weekend. The Harriers were led by Ben Lafary’s 157 over two days and Aaron Akeley’s 162.

MUH struggled on their home course finishing in 7th place on Friday at the Hamilton Elks. The Harriers were led by Cooper French’s 78. However, Miami Hamilton came back and rallied Saturday at Middletown to finish 3rd. Ben Lafary and Adam Mitchell each notched 76s to lead the way. The Golf team will head to Akron Wayne and OU Eastern this weekend to battle for the ORCC Tournament Championship.

MUH Softball won the first game versus OU Lancaster 4-3, but dropped the second 17-2. The Harriers were led by Megan Batt who picked up the victory on the mound and went 3 for 5 at the plate with 3 RBIs on the day. Miami Hamilton finishes the regular season at 5-7 and will head to Newark next weekend for the ORCC tournament.

The Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams both won ORCC titles on Saturday for the second straight year. The men were led in first place finishes by our 1st doubles team of Jordan Ishtaywi and Andy Pickering as well as our 2nd doubles team of Jeremy Hiler and Matt Doak. The women had first place finishes by 1st doubles Lauren Barker and Nicole Taylor as well as 2nd doubles Sara Hopfensperger and Megan Doak.

The Harriers battled through three games on Saturday, but it was well worth it when they were crowned ORCC Champs at the end of the day. MUH beat OSU Newark twice, 19-1 and 3-1. Then followed that up with a 3-1 victory in the nightcap over Miami Middletown. Miami Hamilton finishes the regular season 27-14 overall and 11-1 in the conference.
